It has only been in recent times that a court decided that so called 'Simpsons Porn', cartoons depicting the younger characters of The Simpsons television show in sexual acts, is in fact considered to be child pornography.

A man who was discovered with hand drawn pornographic images that contained likenesses of Lisa and Bart Simpson performing acts with other family members, was found by a judge to be in posession of child porn. The judge specified that although the characters in the images are not human beings, the material could itself incite demand for images that do exploit children and that posession of the material was therefore inacceptable.

With this ruling it becomes more critical that cleaning inappropriate images from computers should include some method of detection and removal of cartoon imagery namely Simpsons porn and other adult files based on cartoon characters including Pokemon porn, Family Guy porn and so forth.
